Profile : Dato’ Elaine Teh

After graduating with a double degree in Economics and Japanese from the University of New South Wales, Dato Elaine embarked on a career in retail management, travel, technology and telecommunications.

She was also an investor and partner in a business that provided intelligent business systems for banks and schools. In 2002, she co-founded the Octopus Group with her husband, Andy. The group has grown to become one of Singapore’s largest companies in the liquor industry with plans to expand globally.

For her achievements, Elaine was conferred the state award of Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang – which carries the title of Dato’ – by the Sultan of Pahang early in 2014. As a former president of the Rotary Club of Sentosa, Dato Elaine has also led numerous charity projects that benefit the elderly.
